Apocalypse

The idea of the Apocalypse is an End of the World, Welcome! project in which humanity took part awaiting the arrival of the Messiah in the year 156, then in 999 and later in 1285. Then they waited for the collision of the Earth and the Sun in 1603. And that’s not counting all the interim ‘ends of the world’.

In general, this event turned somehow into a good reason to get drunk or at least do your best to do so. This is, in fact, how the Seventh-day Adventist Church appeared: as a means for corporate awaiting of the end of the world back in 1843.

Science did not keep away from this issue and predicted doomsday in 1910. Thus, this event has gradually become a ritual action. In general, it is a good aphrodisiac, if we assume that the end has already arrived. People no longer live in the rhythm of human existence, which, in fact, entails for them the end of their human beginning. After all, what is man today? He is a reactionary machine, easy and simple to operate, which reacts to an event even before it has fixed it in its brain. In other words, the brain is not involved in the interpretation of what is happening. Tell me then how is such a person different from an animal ?

Another interesting thing: the entire story of the end of the world is related to the trick of the advent of the Messiah. So the question here actually is why, for what purpose? Even the end of the world in 2012 is a fictional explanation of the Mayan calendar, which never spoke of the end of the world; it rather speaks of frequency changes. For man the Apocalypse comes when he ceases to carry out his human functions, and not when everything gets covered with a copper basin.

Why do people react so readily to doomsday? Because they are used to living in anxiety and even fear. This behavior essence, reactionary essence was never really considered by any of the ancient people; on the contrary - it was carefully eradicated. A person living in anxiety loses his willpower and all his actions can only be characterized by an affective and unpredictable beginning. Such people are easily united and disunited.

Obviously, in the framework of the world conceptualization that we inhabit today, man does not understand the significance of his development. At best, he understands the importance of living and reflecting on his offspring. This disoriented condition can be easily subjected to various turbulent influences. Thus, the apocalypse has long become a business brand infringing upon the right to self-identification of millions.

In this aspect, of course, the best example of the opposite are the ancient Celts and the post-ancient culture with its unique attitude towards the end of the world. What is most curious about it is that it questioned one of the most interesting aspects of history: did the flood really occur?
