RITUAL. A Book in the Stone: An Alchemical Tour in Scotland

Date: 16/06/2019 — 27/06/2019
Address: Scotland

This tour will help unveil the great ‘knowledge of the connections’, hidden in the regularities of the visible and invisible transformations, in the evolutionary laws of the living space of the myth; the participants will grasp the magic power of Scotland, a place inhabited long ago by Picts, Scots and Brits.

The interaction of these tribes has not always been peaceful, yet their wars were guided by supreme powers that controlled human faith and passions. Some places in Scotland conserve to this day the true meaning of those distant clashes.

According to the legend little red-haired red-skin creatures inhabited the Scottish ‘marvelous hills’. This ‘marvelous people’ knew the secret of the magic ale. However, as it happens with everything magical, once upon a time many centuries ago, their lives underwent dramatic changes and the mythical creatures began hiding from humans. Today only the thick mists and the red soil recall their invisible presence. The secret of the Red Scottish hills is still concealed in the fairy power of the ale that nourishes the link between the days of old and our epoch. The arcana of ale preparation are centuries-old and yet at different points in time they have reemerged in the rituals of the Celts and the sacred endeavors of the Templars. The art of ale preparation requires strict adherence to a list of intricate procedures and is so enigmatic that can be compared to the mystical pictograms of the ancient Picts in terms of complexity. According to the Scottish tales of these lands, those who do not drink ale are doomed to wither lamentably.

The drink itself was made for the Fenians. This mystical tribe lived in III century AD and adopted from its divine predecessors the occult art of creating and conserving a special power that can be equaled to the alchemical ingredient. This was a fairy substance that possessed the strength to transform the surrounding space. The Fenians hid this strength in stones. A place where eight or more Fenian stones had been gathered became magical. There Mаc Kumal, the leader of the tribe, installed his cauldron and brewed the fairy potion. Those who were happy enough to taste Mаc Kumal’s drink went through different magical transformations and some especially lucky folks would even be allotted an eternal life.

Since ancient time Celts used stones to gather and keep life essence. Depending on their structure, composition and form stones could be attributed ritual functions as well. We will visit a number of mystical locations and will see objects that testify about the life of the Fenians in our age.
